  Video Format Frame
 * Covers video decoding requirements as per DVB and ATSC broadcast standards
 * Intelligent design with testing related information presented on video
 * Video decode errors like frame skips, holds, jerks can be easily identifiable
 * Streams available both in test card and natural/real life video contents
 * Test stream suite is modular and configurable for more flexibility in selection
 * Detailed and easy to refer documentation with all test stream suites

DVB and ATSC broadcast video decoding requirements are covered by video format test stream suites. MPEG-2 and AVC/H.264/MPEG-4 part10 video coding standards covered. High Definition (HD) and Standard Definition (SD) video formats are supported for both AVC and MPEG-2 codec profiles.

Supported video codecs with profiles and levels

MPEG-2          Profile : Main                         Level: Main and High
H.264              Profile : Main and High         Level: 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2

    Test stream suite specification highlights

# MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 part10/H.264 video coding formats
# All ATSC standard image resolutions for SD and HD video formats
# DVB applicable full resolution and non-full resolutions for SD and HD video formats
# 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio video coding
# Interlaced and Progressive picture types
# DVB and ATSC frame rates including film modes
#
Different video coding bitrates covering minimum and maximum expected values

    Video format transition test streams

Specialized test stream suites designed for dynamic video format attributes transitions present within a service/PID with transitions from or combination of any of the following;

# Image resolutions (SD to HD, HD to SD, etc...)
# Aspect ratio (16:9 to 4:3, 4:3 to 16:9)
# Different frame rates
# Interlaced to Progressive picture type or vice versa
# Different bitrate values
# MPEG-2 codec to H.264 (one of SD to HD case)

Video Format Test Stream Suites delivery formats: MPEG-2 TS for DVB-T, DVB-T2, DVB-C, DVB-S and ATSC.
